Beauty — Fresh Beauty Skincare Favorites
Happy Friday!
Today I want to share with you some of my favorite skincare products from Fresh beauty! I have fallen in love with this brand after trying some of their products. Not only do they work well, but they smell INCREDIBLE. Plus, I am such a sucker for beautiful packaging, and theirs is not only beautiful, but it also embodies their name perfectly! The only downside is the price, but the products last a long time and are a great treat for your or a good friend/familiy memeber's a birthday, ect.; you feel so pampered while using them! You can also score some for free occasionally, which is how I came by all of these. Sephora is great about giving away free samples of products:
-If you sign up to be a beauty insider (basically just signing up for emails), you'll get a free gift for your birthday each year. They have given out Fresh products 2 years out of the past 3 or 4. They also send out promo codes in their emails that you can use while checking out for free deluxe samples of whatever they're featuring.
-Part of being a Beauty Insider means you accrue a point for ever dollar you spend. They offer various deluxe samples ranging from 100 to 500 points, including sets and perfumes that would usually cost around $10 to $25! They currently have a Fresh set for 500 points, which includes some of these products! This isn't completely free, but why not get something extra for spending money on products you've already purchased!
-Also, if you're interested in a product and want to try it before committing, just ask! The sales associates are usually more than happy to give you some product to take home, when possible.
On to the review:
The first Fresh product I ever saw and used was their Sugar Lip Treatment. I got the Original (untinted) and the Rosé as part of one of Sephora's birthday gift sets a year or two back and I absolutely love them! The 'lip treatment' is basically a glorified chapstick, but it really is that much better than regular chapsticks, which often mask chapped lips instead of treating them. In addition to having SPF 15, it's full of antioxidant and vitamin rich ingredients and oils that allow the product to live up to its claims of smoothing, protecting, and moisturizing (for 6 hours!). I love the sweet scent and how smooth my lips feel after using it. I also love the subtle tint that the different colors give, as I don't usually like wearing bold or opaque colors on my lips.
This Advanced Therapy Lip Balm is probably the best smelling out of any beauty product I've ever tried! It literally smells like peppermint ice cream. I love it! It doesn't have SPF Like the Sugar Lip Treatments, but it's supposedly more intense on the nourishing/smoothing/healing front. I didn't notice much of a different between it the Sugar Lip Treatments, but it definitely did make my lips look and feel smoother. The only downsides are that it's more expensive that the Sugar Lip Treatments, but you get a lot of product, and after using it for several days, it still doesn't even like I've used any. It also leaves a slightly cool and minty feel on your lips!
The Black Tea Perfecting Mask is not like any other mask I've tried. The texture is weird; not in a bad way, but in a 'this doesn't feel like a masque or a cream' type way. You could maybe liken the texture to hummus? But not exactly. I really liked this mask. I'm not sure I'd ever spend the $92 for it, at least not with my current job, haha, but if you have the money and want to splurge, or have to opportunity to get a free sample, it is a great mask. My skin looks so much better after using it, brighter, softer, smoother, and hydrated. Dare I say glowing? It also leaves your skin feeling cool and refreshed, which feels amazing in the summer. The mask has kombucha in it, which I thought was really neat, which helps to defend against wrinkles and energize skin. It also gives the mask a refreshing, faint tea smell. The mask contains several other collagen boosting and skin firming, smoothing, and softening ingredients, which is why it has such great results.
The last product I want to share is this Sugar Face Polish. This is another product that smells amazing enough to want to eat! The polish has strawberry seeds and citrus oils which not only give it an amazing fruity/citrusy, yet fresh, smell, but they also pack in vitamin C to brighten and smooth. It uses brown sugar to exfoliate, which combined with plum seed and grapeseed oil, leave your face smooth, glowing, and hydrated. Again, it's pricey, but it's a great exfoliating scrub that was really enjoyable to use!
I hope this review was helpful and maybe introduced you to some new, great products to try! If you have any favorite products by Fresh, or any other brand, that you love to use and make you feel pampered, share in the comments below!
