Happy Friday! Continuing on with my series on capsule wardrobes and key pieces to include in yours, is today's post on the Statement Blazer (not to be confused with my post on the classic blazer ;) ) Clearly, I have a thing for blazers. Can you blame me, though? A blazer is a timeless classic that is is endlessly versatile. They go from work to play and everywhere in between! And that is why I have (and recommend everyone have) more than one in my wardrobe. We all need those classic pieces that go with everything, which is why the classic blazer came first in this series. But I also think having a blazer that makes a statement is a great piece to have as well.

Even as someone who loves neutrals and classic pieces, I firmly believe getting dressed should be fun and a closet should include pieces that are fun to wear and full of personality. I also believe that many of the best outfits out there include one or two statement pieces, to take an outfit next level. A statement blazer is a great way to add fun and a touch of your personality, while still looking put together and sophisticated. You can let it shine, by using it to elevate a simple outfit, like jeans & a tee. Or use it to create a more fashion-forward look, by pairing it with other eye-catching prints, cuts, or colors.

When I first saw the blazer I'm wearing, I immediately thought, "that's a piece of art!" It was love at first sight. The beautiful flower print is made of the most lovely colors and metallic thread. While pricey, it's a head turner and the quality is on point. It's definitely more of a piece for my spring/summer capsule wardrobe, as it will look a bit out of place during autumn/winter, but you can best believe it will get it's cost per wear this season! Since florals might not be everyone's jam, I rounded up all sorts of beautiful statement blazers below, so there's something for everyone.
