5 Neutral Yet Anything but Boring Coats

Happy Saturday friends!  Hope you're setting aside some time to relax this weekend!  Since the weather  decided it was pretty much winter now this week, I thought I'd round up some coats I'm obsessed with.  Good coats can be hard to find, and especially ones that aren't all black, grey, or just overall boring.  I've been on the hunt for myself and hopefully my searching will be of help to some of you! One of these a goodies from last year in a fantastic colorway, while the rest are new finds that I'm starting to wear on repeat or am eyeing up for the winter!

1. Tweed Tularosa Belted Coat

I just got this coat (the one I'm wearing in the photos) a few weeks ago and I've already worn it quite a few times (and gotten so many compliments to boot!).  It's quality, in that it's well-made and a nice weight, so it's warm, but it's also a gorgeous texture, pattern and color.  It's a rich camel blended with burgundy and black to form a sort of tweed texture (but better than tweed because it doesn't have that weird old or preppy look tweed can sometimes have).  I love it and hope if you snag it you do just as much!

2. Plaid Amour Vert Wool Coat

A brand that's newer to me, I've become a fan because of how lovely their pieces are and even better,  how incredibly sustainable they are as  a brand/company well! This coat is a lovely navy plaid with black trimmings.  The navy base with muted tones for the plaid looks lovely, and it's also an oversized, spaced out plaid, and for someone who isn't crazy about plaid, it's perfect because it lets me 'dip my toe' into plaid, if you will, for the colder months.  I also  love how it's a faux mohair texture, and especially love that it has black accents which allow a black-loving girl like me to wear it with all of my shoes & accessories that almost always have at least a bit of black.  I've been loving wearing it the last few weeks and think it's a good weight till at least we get to the 20 degree weather (ps- it's currently on sale!)!

3. Colorblock Plaid Beige L'Academie Trench

While this coat would be lovely in just one of the plaids it features, I think the combining of the two for a fun 'plaid colorblock' is such a fantastic way to make a neutral, versatile coat anything but boring!  The color is lovely coffee tones, the cut is perfect for being giving a polished, sophisticated air, and the colorblocking makes it the perfect statement for the girl who loves being statement yet elegantly understated.

4. Anthropologie Faux Fur Coat

I'm all about wearing coats as soft & fluffy as Myko, and this one checks both of those boxes!  It's faux fur, so no guilt or crazy price point, and the dark olive green & cream colors are neutral yet very luxe looking.  I love the diamond pattern as well as it's different!  It buttons all the way up and is thicker, so it'll be a fantastic yet also warm coat for the winter!

5. All Saints Anya Coat

I have this coat in black from last season and absolutely love the silhouette and fit!  It's casual but has that je ne sais quoi element that gives a model off-duty vibe.  I love layering it over a blazer or hoodie.  It's not super warm and doesn't cover enough of me to be a deep winter coat, unless layered under another coat, but it's fantastic for now and with how quality it is, I know I'll have this coat in my closet for years!

Hope you guys found this helpful!  I'd love to know if you end up getting any of these and how you like it! :)

Bisous,

Laurelle
