Casual Favorites
While you guys know I love dressing smart and elevated, I also looooove being comfy and am pretty low-key when I'm not going to meetings, events, or out with Ross/friends. I don't always share my causal looks, but you guys seem to love them when I do, so I'm going to include them more! After shooting this, I'm really hoping you guys continue to like them, because this was the most comfortable I've been on a shoot in a while, haha!
This look is one I'm loving, because it's full of new pieces I was given or invested in that I am now obsessed with and wearing nonstop. First off, this sweater by Nation LTD is so soft with the perfect distressed details! It also works well with a front/side tuck. It's selling out fast, but that only goes to show you how good it is!
Second, I have a new favorite denim brand. I didn't actually find the brand... My amazing, incredibly stylish friend Laura was wearing them and it was love at first sight for me. (I think) I got the pair she was wearing, which as a lighter wash with different rips, but I was so obsessed with the fit and look I ended up keeping this pair as well! They are expensive (thanks for dent in my wallet, Laura ;) ), but they go 50% off often and are great quality! They're also really flattering and the distressing details are done so well! It's hard to find a brand that pulls off distressed denim well (the placement, size, and color of the threads DO matter and make a difference), but this is Moussy's niche and expertise!
My sneakers are also amazing and on sale... they're basically the sneaker version of the fluffy Gucci mules, but like, wayyyyy cheaper! They have black fluff all on the inside that pours out of the sides and back a little bit, and dang are they the comfiest and coziest shoes I've ever worn! So good!
My bag is also new, and I just have to give it a shoutout because I am ALL about black on black lately, especially when it comes to hardware. It's so sleek!! I love how it makes the LouLou, which I consider one of Saint Laurent's more casual styles, more elevated yet perfect for nearly any occasion. It was also Ross's Christmas gift to me, so I love it all the more for that :) I'm working on finding more accessories that are also black on black; so far I have these black on black Quay sunnies which I love. Will keep you posted on anything good I find!
