Sustainability — H&M Concious
So I'm currently writing this blog post while realizing my top for this post is completely sold out (don't fear, there is a blouse in the exact same cut with a blue patterned fabric and other adorable H&M Conscious pieces) AND my husband is singing a made-up cat version of 'Despacito' to my cat (something like 'mew-a-citoooooo'... and I'll let your imagination take it from here). What a life. It's ironic too, that a post celebrating a fast fashion brand stepping up and making sustainable changes is affected by one of the biggest downsides of fast fashion: it's crazy fast.
But, my whole idea for this post was to start sharing brands with you that are socially & environmentally conscious, so it's still on topic, just not a resource for this exact top. All that said, I am exited about the strides H&M is making to be more socially and environmentally friendly. They're using materials that are sustainably sourced and/or making them with sustainable methods, which is a big step in the right direction considering how large-scale of a company they are, plus they have even more changes in the works for summer.
I get they're not a completely different, 100% green company, but I believe in progress and slow & steady wins the race'. I agree so many changes need to be made by so many brands, but each small step matters and helps. I'd rather encourage these small steps than beat brands up for not making total 180s. (and I think history would support me)

Anyhow, without further ado, I'm presenting a top I purchased from the H&M conscious collection, along with some other (in stock) loves from it that I think you'll love too! I bought and am keeping several of these, and several are in my cart queued up for my next order. They're beautiful, and I feel the quality is just as good, if not better than the typical H&M products! Hope you love as much as I do!
