Nordstrom Anniversary Sale — Top 20 of the Sale!

Happy Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Day!  If you have early access, you actually start shopping RIGHT NOW!  (Or, if you have a card, you'll get access at 12:30pm EST tomorrow.  There's a lot of things totally not worth buying or at least not for the sale price, but there's also some really good deals & pieces...

To keep things simple, I'm sharing with you girls today what I think are the top 20 items (or brands) that are part of the sale and why!  And you know I mean it because I bought (some in multiples) and/or own every single thing on this list save the handbag, and that is only because Ross will kill me if I buy another handbag since I just bought one a few weeks ago... 🙈  These are seriously goodies, and I hope this not only helps you navigate the sale but that you love anything you end up buying!!

  1. St. Tropez Large Size Tanning Mousse - I get SO many compliments on my tan, which is fake since I gave up actual tanning years ago when I learned how horrible it was for my health and skin!  I use St. Tropez for the most part and it does a fantastic job!  These large bottles are a crazy good deal you can't pass up if you fake tan!  $49, only $ more than the normal size for a jumbo size.  I bought 4 of these last NSale and I still have several applications left in the last bottle, which feels great knowing how much I saved on buying the small bottles full price all year!

  2. Diptyque Sets - My obsession with Diptyque is well known; I love their candles and scents SO much!!  They don't go on sale often, so when they do, I'm THERE.  The sets part of the NSale are not only great gifts or super cute 'bits and bobs' to spruce up your home with, they smell amazing and are a steal for the price!!  I bought the mixed candle & travel perfume set, but the all candle one is great too!

  3. Halogen Seamless Day Bralette - I HATE BRAS,  Like SO much.  They're uncomfortable and annoying.  Buuuut I don't always like not having any support/coverage, so barrettes like this are a dream come true!  This one is SUCH a gem, offering coverage & support yet remaining comfortable and seamless!  AND it's so cheap at $14!  I bought it in nude and am considering another color!

  4. Topshop Long Cardigan - This cardigan.  Another GEM.  SO soft and snuggly, almosttttt blanket status, while having super cute detailing (love the slits, pockets and texture) and remaining under $45.  I will be living in the 3 colors I bought all year!

  5. Something Navy High Waist Raw Hem Skinny Jeans - I am super picky about my denim, especially since I'm 5'4" and any inseam higher than 27 inches is too long for my liking.  I also expect my denim to be soft, comfortable, and flattering.  Just imagine the standards that Ross had to meet to be my husband, ;).  But seriously, these jeans are SO good.  I heard mixed things about Arielle's line, especially quality-wise, but these are amazing in my book, especially for being under $60!  I bought them and am just sad they don't come in more color ways. (Also loved this sweater from her line which is part of the sale; it's really soft!)

  6. Chelsea28 Cowl Neck Sweater - This might be THE best sweater part of the sale!  I know I need to hold out before officially saying that since there will be more options for the online portion of the sale, but this sweater is prettttty darn good, especially for being under $50.  Its really soft, flattering, and has cute detailing, especially on the sleeves.  The colors are also great for fall & winter!  I bought the cream and rusty orange color.

  7. Blank NYC - You guys know by now this is one of my favorite brands, Ross and I own SO many pieces and not only are they super flattering & great cuts, they're great quality too.  I have a few of their leather jackets, suede skirts, and many other denim pieces and they're still going strong 2-3 years later!  This sale is a great time to snag some wardrobe essentials at a discount!

  8. Barefoot Dreams Cozy Chic Blanket - This blanket is SO soft!!! It literally feels like a dream!  The good blankets are always expensive, but so worth it, which is why I think they're one of the best parts of this sale!  For me, having a huge, super soft snuggly blanket on my couch adds so much happiness to my life, I totally think it's worth investing in at least one for your home at some point!  I got the almond and love it!

  9. Monica Vinader Bracelet - You guys know I LOVE Monica Vinader jewelry, but what you probably don't know is that I bought my first pieces (which converted me into a die-hard fan) from the NSale!  I love that MV contributes to this sale and definitely think the MV pieces are one of the best parts of the sale, since they are pricey (so worth it though) and don't go on sale often.  Monica's pieces are truly works of art, great quality for the price, and perfect for everyday wear + stacking!  I have this bracelet in gold and wear it nearly every day!

  10. Nest Candles - Nest is another favorite candle brand, next to Diptyque, and since they also don't have sales often, I love stocking up at the NSale!  The bamboo scent is part of a few of the scents and it's seriously such a sophisticated, lovely scent to have fill you home during all the seasons and the tangerine is so lovely for summer!

  11. Steve Madden Loafers - I honestly didn't realize how cute & conformable these would be until I tried them on, but now think they're one of the best pairs of shoes the sale has to boast!  They're so comfortable, flattering (the pointed toe elongates your leg which really helps us shorter girls out), and so chic.  I styled the snake print option with so many looks in the fitting room and I was surprised at how versatile it was!  For the price point these are an insanely good steal you'll love and wear so much!  I of course took the snakeskin home and am contemplating the black!

  12. Vince Camuto Boots - The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is huge for boot & bootie stock ups for fall and one of my favorite brands to get boots from is Vince Camuto.  They are quality and comfortable, which can be hard to find together while also having a great aesthetic.  I still have a pair from 8 years ago and they're in good condition!  I have a few pairs from the sale and they're so cute and comfortable, you really can't go wrong!

  13. Just Geiger London Bag -  This bag looks at least mid-range designer and is great quality, while being on sale for under $200!  It's beautiful and unique without being too statement; the leopard and black will still go with so much, especially a fall color palette!

  14. L'Agence High Waisted Skinny Jeans - L'Agence makes what is currently my favorite skinny jean.  The fit is perfect and they're incredibly soft and comfortable!  They're an investment but so worth it!  With how much you'll wear a basic like this, the cost per wear will be super low, and on top of that you just can't beat flattering denim that's also comfortable!

  15. All Saints Lia Mac Trench - This trench is a work of art!!!  It looks gorgeous in and of itself, but also looks gorgeous on and is incredibly flattering!  All Saints is another higher end brand I adore that doesn't have many sales, so it was one of the brands I immediately searched for when scouring the NSale today.  I can see this being my go-to coat all fall as it's so versatile, beautiful quality, and flattering!

  16. Nike Tempo Running Shorts - I bought the black pair yesterday and bought them again online today when I saw they came in grey!  I love how flattering & comfortable Nike running shorts are, and with them being around $20 per pair for the sale, I can't imagine a better time to stock up and/or replace old shorts that need to go!  They'e flattering, cool, and as chic as workout wear can get!

  17. BP. Lace Trim Satin Cami - This cami is SUCH a gem for the $25ish price point.  It looks as gorgeous as many of the $75+n camis I always drool over and is so flattering!  I know I use that word a lot, but it's honestly a huge factor for me when buying clothes, as I don't feel I have a very 'flattering' body.  I've come to accept and am working on loving my body, but I definitely don't look good in the majority of things I try on, so I am always hunting for pieces that work really well with all body types!  I bought this in black and leopard yesterday and love both!

  18. Thread & Supply Wubby Fleece Pullover - Holy wow.  This pullover is SO soft and snuggly!  I didn't even give it the time of day last year since I didn't think it looked 'cute', but after trying it on I'm a convert.  Not only is it the softest thing you'll ever wear, it actually does look 'cute' over yoga pants!  Now, you probably won't catch me out and about in this, but I like to look cute at home and I feel like this does the job while being sooooooo soft and cozy!

  19. Saint Laurent Nude Lip Trio - Saint Laurent Lipsticks and Glosses are some of the most luxurious and beautiful I've used!  I don't splurge on them too often because they are pricey, but sales like this are there perfect time.  The colors in this kit are so lovely and you can't beat YSL's ever gorgeous packaging.  Can't wait to get this set in the mail and get these in my handbag!

  20. Sunday Riley Essentails Kit - Sunday Riley Skincare is some of the most effective skincare I've used!  The products truly do what they say and the results are great! I've personally tested the C.E.O line and Good Genes and love both!  Great for cell turnover and revealing brighter, younger skin.
