Happy Saturday guys!  Today I'm finally sharing our favorite spots for food and/or drinks in  France!  This post was so fun to write, but it definitely made me hungry, haha!  I hope you enjoy and it gives you some great ideas if you're headed to Paris soon!

We had the pleasure of eating here for dinner and breakfast, although we were in a rush when we had breakfast so we didn't get to enjoy anything cooked :/  Their croissants were huge and fluffy though, and the coffee delicious, so I would definitely count this as one of my favorite cafés (which is also a full-service restaurant)!

The café is absolutely stunning inside; we adored the beautiful painted and gold-gilded walls and ceilings.   The view is just as lovely, as the café is right across from the opera!  And the food... absolutely incredible.  From the side of the best sautéed vegetables I've had to the tender, savory scallops, to the amazing Opera cake, not one dish was anything but excellent!!  Definitely returning when we're back in Paris this fall!

So this restaurant was part of our time with Francois, which is such a cool story that I really need to write about...  But the night we went out with Francois we came here.  It's one of his favorite restaurants in Paris, and we could see why after dining there!  It's a cozy, unassuming little restaurant that welcome you in with its warm glow.  The food was so, so delicious and fresh, and the staff was so kind and accommodating.   )The Lemon Tarte was out of this world!!)  It's also down the street from where President Macron lives, and apparently he visits often to dine or sip wine with the locals! We didn't get see him that night, but this is another place we ant to return to when we're back!

Café de Flore

So, if you follow bloggers on Instagram, you'll know this is a popular spot.  And for good reason - it's a gorgeous, instagrammable café, it's located by tonnnns of great shopping, and the dessert is so good!  They also serve a whole menu of food and drinks, which hopefully next time we will be able to try.  While there, we got a delicious ice cream sunday and real hot chocolate. Both were sooo delicious!  The only downside/caution for coming here is that it gets packed, so be prepared for the possibility of a long wait and a crowded café!

Ladurée definitely lives up to the hype!  If you're looking for a delicious and magical dessert, come here!  From eclairs, to macaron, to any kind of pastry you can imagine, you can be sure you'll get something amazing that's instagram worthy.  We got hazelnut ice cream and a fancy caramel pastry and were in heaven!

Favorite Drinks

Hanoï Cà Phê

So we came here thinking it was a regular café, planning to get coffee and a croissant.  Then we received menus and realized it was a Vietnamese restaurant!  We wanted to order food and drinks, but the service was very slow (actually something we found to be common in France, people take their time and enjoy dining out at a relaxed pace there!) and by the time our drinks came, we knew there wouldn't be enough time to order food as well.  But, we will definitely be going back next time, and hopefully getting to try the food!  I don't drink cocktails very often, in fact I really have anything alcoholic besides red wine as I just don't tend to enjoy anything as much, but these cocktails were out of this world!  Sooo delicious and refreshing!  The café is also super cute with a fun vibe!

Favorite Snacks

Brasserie Les Deux Palais

Ross and I were wandering around Paris one gorgeous blue-skied day when we got hungry and stumbled on this place.  It's such pretty little restaurant, with huge windows all around that make you feel almost like you're sitting outside!  We just ordered snacks, but they were so yummy, and we really loved the vibe of the restaurant!  Our waiter was so sweet, and was cheerfully moving around singing in French while he worked, and everyone who worked there was so pleasant!

Another restaurant Ross and I stumbled on while wandering around!  Ross was in the mood for pizza and so we ended up coming in and staying at this restaurant, which is just a 10 minute walk from the Eiffel tower.  His pizza was sooo good, and I ordered a burrata salad which was so, so delicious and fresh.  That was something we found to be pretty consistent across most of the restaurants we visited, especially out favorites... everything tasted fresh and naturally flavorful, like it was made with quality ingredients and not with chemicals and corn syrup!
