NYFW Recap — Day 2
Happy Wednesday guys! I'm currently surviving on tissues and juice, trying to get over a hefty cold! Luckily I'm almost recovered! Definitely adding 'take Emergen-C starting Day 2' to my NYFW survival tips.... I always seem to crash and get sick after, and I desperately need to figure out how to stop the cycle as there is always wayyyyy to much work to be done in the week or two following!

NYFW Recap – Day 2 – Thursday, February 9th
Backstage for BCBG & BCBG Presentation
One of my favorite parts of NYFW was getting to go backstage with Redken. It was so neat to be able to learn a bit about the hair, makeup, and inspiration behind it as well as how it tied in with the designer's collection. I also enjoyed getting to know the teams putting on the shows a bit better! The work that goes into it all is incredible.
The makeup for BCBG was really beautiful and perfect for a late Autumn day. The skin was very fresh and dewy, with a golden highlight on the cheek. The eye had a beautiful, warm terra-cotta shadow, the brows were brushed up and the lip was natural. Redken did a beautiful job matching the natural yet chic vibes with the waves they did for the hair!
The BCBG presentation was one of my favorite collections from Fashion Week. The dresses were feminine and flowy, but most had a bit of masculinity or edge to give that 'effortlessly cool' vibe.
Next up was a show put on by 3 designers who came all the way from Hong Kong. It was neat to see the differences in their styles! I loved the collection by Anveglosa which featured feminine silhouettes, monochromatic looks, and lots of leather!
After the Hong Kong show, Erica and I zipped over to a gifting suite with 2Xist, where I got some adorable lounge/workout clothes! I'm loving this pair of star workout leggings and this lace-up back lounge sweater!
Next was the Milly show, which was a another favorite from the week! I loved how the collection was color coordinated, and there was a piece in every color of the rainbow! I also loved all the sequins and metallics, trends that were also popping up in the other shows I attended. Milly was the only one I saw use rainbow sequins though, which were so fun! I wish I had been able to get better shots!
Backstage for Nicole Miller & the Nicole Miller Show
After Milly was another fun event, followed by backstage for Nicole Miller. I loved the edgy, yet feminine and natural makeup Mary Kay led by Luis Casco did for the show! It mimicked the collection so well, which featured very edgy and masculine looks that had subtle feminine details like ruffles and florals. I absolutely love how Nicole embellishes leather, and I can't wait to get my hands on some of the pieces from the new collection!
A fun BTS shot of us bloggers that the girls from Mary Kay snapped! ;)
