Style Diary — Summer in Winter

Happy Friday! It's the first Friday of the new year and I can't think of a more perfect way of starting it than waking up to some snow! Although, I don't have to be anywhere till later today, so I suppose that might not be fun for those who had to drive to work this morning... But even when I do have to drive in the snow, I still enjoy having it. It's still one of the few things that makes the winter fun and bearable, in my opinion. If it's going to be cold, we may as well have some pretty snow! How are you spending the first weekend of the new year?

So ripped jeans and cami tops are some of my favorite closet staples, but they're a bit impractical for the cold weather we've been having here lately. So to make them a bit more weather appropriate, I decided to layer them! I saw a favorite blogger of mine, @andeelayne, wear fishnets under ripped jeans a while back and loved it! I knew I had to try a similar look soon. I wore a bit thicker pair of stockings, but loved how it made ripped jeans wearable in the colder weather! And cami layering is certainly not a new trend, but it's definitely a great one! I opted for black on white since I already had a lot going on with the different textures from layering. I hope this gives you guys a bit of inspiration for taking some of your loved summer pieces into the cooler months!
