Style Diary — Tickling the Ivories in Ivory

Ivory, Black & Camel Outfit

Happy Friday!  I'm so excited for the weekend!  It's such a lovely, blue-skied, crisp day outside, it's making me so happy it's fall!  As you might have guessed from this post's title, there's some piano playing happening this weekend!  Well, being a pianist/piano teacher there's typically piano playing happening during all of my weekends, and weekdays for that matter, but tonight I'm accompanying a french horn player on a Mozart & a Strauss concerto.  I thought it'd be fun to show you guys what I wear when accompanying in concerts, since it's a semi-formal outfit that would work well in a variety of different settings, including dates and workplaces with business casual dress-code!

I actually really love this outfit and have been wearing it a lot lately!  Ivory & black go so well together, and the camel is a lovely and rich accent color.  And I love the top, bag and shoes!  This tie front top is from Ann Taylor and on sale for under $25!  The ivory color is sold out, but it's still available in black, and in navy and pink in the 3/4 sleeve version.  It's such great quality and I think the tie front detail is just adorable!  Ann Taylor is also having a 40% off  your purchase event, which will go till the 15th, a great excuse for some early Christmas shopping!

As you've probably picked up by now, I'm loving pumps lately, especially ones in the d'orsay style!  I also love that these have an ankle strap, and that the black material used has a subtle shimmer to it.  They're also on sale, for half off!  You also probably know, if you follow me at all, that I love Camelia Roma bags!  This is another one I've had for a while, that I love.  The shape is so cute, and I love the gold hardware details!  If you're looking to get a handbag for someone for Christmas, definitely check them out.  Most of their bags are under $100, and the quality is incredible!

Another great Christmas gift?  Kendra Scott jewelry!  This past Monday I went to a color bar party, hosted by Alissa from Lipgloss & Labels, and fell in love with the entire Kendra Scott collection!  I don't know how I've lived so long not being very familiar with her jewelry or owning any.  Her rose gold is so lovely, it's not too pink of a rose gold and it looks incredible as a druzy!  I also loved the black druzy set in dark gunmetal; it's so unique and lovely, and perfect for someone like me who always wears black!  I ended up getting the black, but the rose gold is definitely on my Christmas wishlist!  Part of the event was that we could design our own jewelry at their color bar, and see how it would look and even try it on!  You can also design your own on their website!  I think it's so neat to be able to give a piece of jewelry to someone that you designed yourself, just for them!  It's one of the reasons I used to love making jewelry for friends and family for Christmas!  If you want to see more pictures from the event and how we designed our jewelry, check out Alissa's post here.

I linked everything below, along with some of my favorite Kendra Scott pieces I saw Monday, and some great Sephora sale picks!  If you're a VIB you can get 20% off today through the 14th!  Also, be sure to check out my new Christmas page, for some great gifting ideas!  I'll be adding to it regularly over the coming weeks!

xx,

JordanLaurelle
