AW 2017 — How to Style Boyfriend Jeans - Part 1
Happy Saturday loves!
I hope you had a lovely week! This week was an up and down one, and I'm considering writing a blog post about it. I always want to be real with you guys, and as put-together as any blogger's feed may look, they're still a real person with struggles. But, I don't want to bore you guys with day-to-day life stuff either! Let me know if you are interested in me sharing more on the blog!
Lately, I've been loving street style outfits and casual pieces. That I live in denim is no exaggeration! Unless I'm home, then it's fuzzy PJ bottoms & this so-soft-it's-unreal top allllll the way. To celebrate my love of denim, I decided to do a two-part series on how to wear boyfriend jeans! You know, the loose, super-comfy type with rips and everything. I'm obsessed with them!
Part 1 - Dressed Up
Loose boyfriend jeans look sooooo good dressed up.
Heels - I seriously can't get over how they look with heels! Add a dressy blouse, some jewelry & lipstick, and you've got a gorgeous outfit! I love these two-tone Kristin Cavallari heels. Pointed heels and ankle straps are two things I love in a heel, they look so sophisticated and are so flattering! I know I featured these as far back as last summer, but they've honestly been one of those pieces that I've worn soooo much and still love! And surprisingly they're still in stock!
Dressy, Fitted Top - If you are going for a more dressy look, opting for a fitted top helps keep you looking polished and put-together. With the jeans being so loose, accentuating your waistline and having something more form fitting on the top balances things out. I absolutely love this top by Chicwish! I saw it in white a lot on Instagram this summer, but I actually really like it in black! It's so versatile, and the wrap around belt makes it easy to have it fit just as you like.
Plenty of Jewelry - I love making an outfit a little extra by adding some jewelry! I am also absolutely loving how white and gold looks with tanned skin! If you picked up any sort of tan this summer, definitely take advantage of wearing both of those colors before your tan fades, cause it looks good.
I linked almost everything I'm wearing below. My jeans were a discounted steal (I'm talking under $20) from LOFT outlet two summers ago, so I linked some similar options at different price points for you guys! Stay tuned for part two, I'm going be sharing different way to style boyfriend jeans! Can you guys what it is? Comment below!
